The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly: User Interfaces

The way you interact with any application, let it be a Desktop application, phone application or web application, you need to use some kind of user interface. Making a good user interface is vital to make your application smooth and intuitive to the user. Some websites can be a pleasure to navigate through, some of them can be just not intuitive enough, and some of them are just plain ugly, and that's why in this blog I will present three examples of websites, the good, the bad, and the ugly.

The Good

This is Udacity.com, a website for online learning. I categorized this website as the good, because, because beside being a really useful site for learning, its user interface is beautiful and intuitive to the user.  The design of this site, was made thinking about the user experience, the layout is very responsive and works on all platforms. Udacity is truly an example of a good website.

The Bad

This website should seriously win the bad and the ugly!  This is Bellas De Soto website, bellads.info. This is an example of a really bad user interface. This website besides having a very bad layout, it automatically plays an audio as soon as you enter the website, which makes it very annoying. And for all that, I have decided to place this website in the bad category.

The Ugly

The last but not least, for the category of the ugly, I have chosen Gatesnfences.com, which ironically designs fences for your for your house. This is a terrible looking website, the background is painful to see, and the search bar is annoyingly outside the layout. This website makes me never want to let them design any fences for my home.
